Our mission is to build sustainable solutions that protect the environment while empowering those who have lost their homes to rebuild their lives with dignity and hope.
Every person deserves a safe place to live — and a clean, healthy planet to call home. Our foundation bridges the gap between environmental sustainability and humanitarian care. By supporting eco-friendly shelter projects, community gardens, and digital access programs, we help vulnerable communities grow stronger while healing the Earth.
It began with a single question: “What if technology could plant hope?” Our founder, inspired by the power of connectivity, envisioned a world where broadband wasn’t just about speed — it was about connection between people, communities, and nature. From that idea, the Michael T Ort Foundation grew into a movement that uses innovation to nurture both people and the planet.
In March 2025, our volunteers gathered in Los Angeles to launch The Green Shelter Initiative 2025 — a program dedicated to building sustainable micro-shelters for homeless individuals while planting over 1,000 native trees around shelter zones. This initiative not only provided housing and greenery but also brought together hundreds of volunteers who shared one goal: to make compassion visible in every corner of our city.
